Driver sought over incident

Neighbourhood officers are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old boy was hit by a car in Maidstone.
 
The collision happened in Northumberland Road, and the driver stopped to check whether the boy was injured, and he replied that he wasn't.

However, later he needed hospital tratment for severe bruising to his legs and chest.

The accident occurred at around 5.20pm on Monday, January 14 at the junction with Cumberland Avenue, opposite the church.
 
A silver Mercedes is reported to have been involved.
