Brothers sentenced

Police signTwo brothers have been sentenced for intending to break into a house in East Malling.

Damien and Nathan Boyce, from Ewell Avenue, West Malling, were arrested near the property in Four Acres, East Malling, after police received a tip-off of suspicious activity.

They both pleaded guilty to the offence - which happened in January.

Damien, 20, appeared in court on Friday, March 1, and was sentenced to complete 120 hours of unpaid work and to pay a £60 victim surcharge.

His older brother Nathan was sentenced on Friday, February 15, after he pleaded guilty to intended burglary and two counts of handling stolen goods, one of which related back to October last year.

The 23-year-old admitted to possessing a stolen Samsung digital camera worth £90, and a handheld computer worth £300.

He was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, as well as 150 hours of unpaid work.
