Police are investigating a blaze at a mobile home in Staplehurst on Saturday.

The blaze in Clapper Lane at 7.15pm left the building destroyed.

Frie crews from Maidstone also had to make two propane cylinders safe, which were close by.

The blaze is being treated as suspicious, and a joint fire and police investigation is currently being carried out.

The cold weather also led to two chimney fires on Saturday evening, one in Friezley Lane, Cranbrook, at 2.35pm, and the other in Shenley Road, Headcorn, at 8.13pm.
