Leaders at Bessels Green Baptist Church in Sevenoaks plan nativity with Star Wars characters and a lawnmower
A church has unveiled a festive nativity scene with a colourful twist - made entirely of Lego.
The seven different biblical scenes built from the toy bricks has been given pride of place at Bessels Green Baptist Church in Sevenoaks.
Church leaders have also invited locals to place their own figures into the display - and so far four Lego Star Wars droids have been added to Mary and Joseph's trek to Egypt.
Guns are not commonly included in most nativity scenes
One cheeky member of the public has added an octopus to the birth of Christ and a Lego man watching the shepherds - while pushing a lawnmower.
Minister Neil Durling, 40, said: "We have the main seven stories of the Nativity made from Lego.
The traditional baby Jesus scene is given a twist
The angel arrives while shepherds watch their flock...

The three wise men... of course!
Don't remember motorised trikes in the original nativity... and is that Darth Vader?

"We're allowing and encouraging people to add their own quirky bits and bobs to them, to make it more fun.
"We've got aliens and monsters with the shepherds and sheep, and four droids from Star Wars look like they’re following Mary and Joseph to Egypt.

"We've also got a man mowing the grass in the shepherds' scene, and a spaceman looking after one of the horses in the manger.
"This is the first time we’ve done this, and I think it’s already proving a big hit."
