Business as usual for the Kent Pavilion at the showground in Detling after it is partially blown away by the wind
The new Kent Pavilion which will be at the Kent Showground at Detling
Gale-force winds blew part of the Kent Pavilion down at the Kent Showground in Detling.
But organisers have denied that the building, which is a marquee, was blown away during the severe weather on Christmas Eve.
The Kent County Agricultural Society said work has now been carried out to make the site safe.
In a statement the society said: "No events have been cancelled and it is ‘business as usual’ for the Kent Event centre."
Work is currently underway on a £1.5m new building to replace it, which when it is completed in April will have seating for 4,000 people.
