Tonbridge Angels boss Tommy Warrilow looking for FA Cup boost

Tonbridge manager Tommy Warrilow
said it was frustration rather than anger which forced him to leave
the ground before addressing his players after Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat
at Carshalton Athletic in the Ryman League, Premier Division.
Angels twice led but had defender
Sonny Miles sent-off before conceding two goals in the final six
minutes to lose for the fourth time in
six matches.
Warrilow (pictured) said: "I read
somewhere that I was supposed to have stormed out but it wasn’t
like that. I didn’t want to start going into the lads and say
something which I might regret."
Angels take a break from league action
tomorrow (Saturday) with a home FA Cup first qualifying round tie
against Combined Counties side Guildford City, 5-0 conquerors of
Kent League side Sevenoaks in the FA Vase.
Loan striker Adam Burchall is
ineligible and there is a doubt over Danny Walder, who remains
troubled by a toe injury. Peter Hawkins has left the club amicably
for what Warrilow described as ‘non-football’ reasons.
