Video: Behind the scenes at pet crematorium

by Luke Hollands

Cherry Tree might look like any other crematorium, but the loved ones being put to rest are of the four-legged kind.

The pet crematorium, near Bethersden, has the usual flowers, memorial plaques and even a chapel of rest, but owner David Funnell can accommodate anything from a hamster to a horse – and has done.

One grieving pet owner even asked him to dispose of their goldfish.

His services have been so successful he has moved the business from its former home in a stables to plush purpose-built surroundings.

    Cherry Tree Mr&Mrs Funnell

Canterbury Horse Rescue highly recommends David Funnell’s Cherry Tree Pet & Equine Crematorium. Canterbury Horse Rescue uses His services for the sad loss of some of the rescues. David, his wife, and staff are professional, caring people, who will treat all animals as if they were there own, with dignity and respect.
