Video: Businessman shot by paintballers to draw attention to lion charity

By Thom Morris

A businessman dressed up as a lion and agreed to be hunted – to highlight the plight of the African big cat.

4Networking managing director Brad Burton dressed for a Lion Aid charity event at Great Chart Golf and Leisure centre.

He said: “Lions have no voice and what we’re doing today is representing Lion Aid which is really the voice for lions.

“They’re being killed up and down Africa and these people are going on hunting trips, dosing them up with drugs and putting them in cages so they can shoot them.

“It’s 2010 now, we’re not in the 1800s and things have moved on. Someone needs to stand in the way of it.”

Kitted out in his lion costume and facing a hail of paintballs from Lion Aid supporters, Mr Burton added: “This is just a bit of fun. We wanted to do something and we thought a big fat bloke from Manchester would be a good way to get attention for this cause.”
