A welder says he was stunned when he looked out of his
window to see five UFOs fly past and shoot a red laser beam into
the ground.
Mr Gisby, 50, of South Stour Avenue, Ashford, was watching
television in his bedroom when he noticed the lights at 10.25pm on
Saturday.
He said: “I was just lying in bed watching TV and all of a
sudden I saw these lights out of the corner of my eye. I tried to
unlock my phone to film them but the first two had gone too far
away.
“I turned around and I saw the other three coming over. There
was no noise at all. They shot forward and caught up with the other
two. They were just moving through the sky above the old Carfax
waste paper factory site.
“Then this red beam came down. It happened right at the end when
I was filming. I was quite stunned.”
He added: “People have said they could have been Chinese
lanterns but they were moving too fast and I’ve never seen lanterns
do anything like that.
“The only thing I could think of is that it might be proper
UFOs. Years ago I was out with a girl and we saw traffic light
things in the sky above Cudworth Road.”
The same set of hovering lights Mr Gisby saw on Saturday were
filmed by someone in south Ashford floating upwards from Victoria
Park over Ashford International train station.
