Enter Ashford photo competition

What makes you smile about our borough and can you sum it up in one photograph?

The theme of this year’s Ashford Best Placed in Britain photo competition is Reasons to Smile About Ashford.

Contestants are asked to convey in a single shot what pleases them about living, working and spending leisure time in the borough.

The competition was launched last Friday on the roof of the iconic Charter House in Ashford town centre and was attended by last year’s winners Duncan and Finn Callow and their daughter Kate.

The contest had been launched last year by the regeneration company, Ashford’s Future, leading to 90 entries.

Ashford’s Future managing director Judith Armitt said: “We were delighted by the quality of entries last year. I am looking forward to seeing what local people find the most inspiring about the borough.”

This year’s prizes include Eurostar tickets to Parish or Brussels, including £300 of Jessops voicers, a large canvas print of your winning photo or a special day out at a top gallery.

To enter, taking a single picture showing your reason to smile about Ashford, and upload it at www.ashfordbestplaced.co.uk/photo
