Jewellery stolen

Police have recovered a number of pieces of jewellery stolen on Thursday.

Officers are now trying to trace the owners of the jewellery thought to have been taken in the areas of Newtown Green, Orion Way and Wainwright Place between 10.25am and noon.

A 42-year-old man was arrested in Hunter Road, Ashford on suspicion of burglary and discovered with the jewellery on him.

Police recovered a charm bracelet, a gold chain bracelet, a gold chain necklace with gold chain pendant, a pair of clip on gold earrings and a gold neck chain.
