Teenage girl critical after Ashford crash

A teenage girl is still critical in hospital nearly a week after
a serious crash in Ashford.
The 14-year-old girl was said to be crossing Stanhope Road in
Ashford near her school, the John Wallis Academy, at
around 4.10pm last Tuesday, when a silver Kia Picanto hit her.
The girl was taken to a London hospital, where she is still said
to be in a life-threatening condition.
Police closed a section of Stanhope Road until just after

Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were also called,
and the Kent Air Ambulance later arrived at the scene to help.
The girl was driven by ambulance to King's College
Hospital, in London with what was believed to have been a fractured

appealing for anyone who may have seen the crash to contact the
