Man taken to hospital after Charing Hill crash

Police stock imageA man is fighting for his life after being airlifted to hospital following a crash this morning.

It comes after a grey Ford Transit Van hit a tree and telegraph pole on the A252 at Charing Hill at around 6.45am.

Fire crews freed the man and he was flown to a London hospital, where he is said to be suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The driver is said to be a 47-year-old man from the Canterbury area.
