Folkestone Invicta manager Neil Cugley is calling on his side to be ruthless

Forward Brendon Cass,
right, could be partnered by Simon Austin at Worthing on
Saturday.
Neil Cugley wants his Ryman
League Division 1 South promotion chasers to be more clinical in
front of goal.
The Folkestone Invicta boss, preparing for Saturday’s trip to
in-form leaders Worthing, said: "I’d like us to be more
entertaining and exciting in the final third. It would be nice if
we got more goals from midfield and the strikers and it’s strange
for a team near the top our leading scorer has only got eight.
"We were not good enough to cause
Leatherhead too many problems in the 0-0 draw last week but I can’t
be too critical of the players after what they have done this
season."
Worthing’s 2-0 win at Walton
Casuals on Monday night extended their winning run to seven
matches, transforming the Sussex club’s season in the space of a
month.
The teams drew 0-0 at Buzzlines
Stadium in November and Cugley said: "It was an exciting goalless
draw. They came and played 4-2-4 against our 4-4-2, and both
defences and goalkeepers did well. They were in the chasing pack at
one stage but are playing really well, and a good side Not long ago
they were one of the pack, now they are leaders."
Invicta dropped to third after wins
for rivals Godalming (at Chatham) and Croydon Athletic (at Dulwich)
on Tuesday night.
Midfielder Lee Spiller has left the
club after experiencing knee problems, Jimmy Jackson has been
struggling with a knee injury but Simon Austin is available after
serving a three-match ban.
Cugley was planning to play Austin
alongside Brendon Cass in a new strike partnership at Homelands
last night. New-boy Cass has scored twice in three games since
arriving from Chatham.
