Neil Cugley hopeful over Folkestone Invicta reaching the Ryman League Division 1 South play-offs

by Andrew Gidley
Neil Cugley is targeting five or six wins which he hopes
could clinch Folkestone Invicta a place in the Ryman League,
Division 1 South play-offs.
The race to be in the end-of-season shake-up is becoming more
congested by the week, with as many as six clubs chasing possibly
only one place.
A few weeks ago boss Cugley (pictured) had written off their
chances of being involved but only one defeat in 13 games has
changed things considerably.
He said: "We are enjoying still being in contention. Draws are
no good to us at this stage and we will be going out looking to win
every game.
"It’s a new experience for some of my lads but our good run has
put us in a great position with eight games still to play. I think
we need to win five or six of them."
The remaining seven matches include three Kent derbies – the
Easter double at Whitstable and home to Hythe, as well as the visit
of Herne Bay on the final day of the season (April 27).
Cugley said: "Everybody is fit and I have got a full squad to
pick from."
