Traffic gridlock after three-vehicle crash on Thanet Way

crash on the Thanet Way
Traffic came to a standstill on the A299 Thanet Way after a
three-vehicle smash near Whitstable this afternoon.
Two Ford Transit vans and a Peugeot crashed on the London-bound
carriageway near the Shell garage at just after 1pm.
One vehicle rolled onto its side and another smashed into the
central reservation.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene and the slip road
from Whitstable was shut to stop drivers getting onto the Thanet
Way.
No one has been seriously hurt.
