Whitstable posties will strike again

Protesters take to the streets of Whitstable to protest at Royal Mail's plans

Postal workers in Whitstable have voted to take more industrial action on Saturday, January 26, as part of their fight against Royal Mail plans to close the town's delivery office in Cromwell Road.

It follows a strike and day of action on Saturday in which more than 300 people turned out to support the postmen with a rally and march through the town.

Royal Mail has now said it intends to close the office on February 11 and move all the staff to Canterbury sorting office.
