Pedestrian hurt after car ploughs into Cheadles Chemist in Whitstable High Street
A woman has been hurt after being hit by a car that careered into the front of a chemist's this morning.
Both she and the driver of the Hyundai have been injured in the crash, which shut the road in Whitstable town centre.
The 64-year-old pedestrian was treated at the scene by a passing off-duty paramedic and an air ambulance landed nearby.

She suffered a suspected broken leg and a cut to her head as well as lower arm injury.
South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman Richard Airey said she was fully conscious before being taken to the William Harvey Hospital, in Ashford.

The female driver was treated for shock and minor injuries and also taken to hospital.
Police were called at 11.25am to reports the car had mounted the pavement and hit a pedestrian, before crashing into Cheadles Chemist in the High Street.
Kent Police officers, paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews were at the scene and closed the road.
Chemist worker Megan Hoople said: "We just heard a loud bang and turned round and saw a woman up in the air.
"The car was just revving and I felt numb. I have never seen anything like this before."

An air ambulance landed in Whitstable after a pedestrian was hit by a car
Witness Holly Page, 16, said: "I heard a loud noise and I crossed the road and saw a woman lying on the floor."
Witnesses reported seeing them being treated at the scene by medics and an air ambulance landed in nearby Cornwallis Circle.
