Canterbury Rugby club sign Blackheath prop Jimmy Stanford

Canterbury Rugby Club this week
started preparing for life in the new and expanded National 2 South
Division by announcing the capture of Blackheath prop Jimmy
Stanford.
Stanford, who had a spell at Merton
Lane as a loan player two seasons ago, will be joined by more new
faces before the league action starts on September 5.
Training for the new season at the
club’s Merton Lane headquarters started on Tuesday. Training is
every Tuesday and Thursday, 7pm for a 7.30pm start and Canterbury
are keen to recruit players at all levels for their five senior
sides.
