Canterbury Rugby Club extend unbeaten run with victory over Dorking in National League 3 London & South East

Canterbury try to break away from Dorking
Canterbury maintained their 100% record in National League 3
London & South East after a 44-19 win over Dorking - their 19th
successive win.
The damage was done in the first half, with the hosts rattling
up 34 points to leave the visitors' promotion hopes almost
terminally damaged.
Ricky Mackintosh's fifth-minute opener set the tone, and
Canterbury were two tries to the good five minutes later through
Martyn Beaumont. Beaumont added a further five points through a
conversion and penalty, and seven more were on the board with a
second Mackintosh try and another Beaumont conversion.
A yellow card for former Canterbury player Quin Wiseman was
punished with a catch-and-drive try by Peter Kelly, and Nik van Mol
got his name on the scoresheet, Beaumont again adding the extras,
before the interval.
An even second half saw three Dorking tries, but Canterbury were
always in control and touchdowns from Paul Brown and Tom Best
underlined their class.
