Whitstable Town manager Nicky Southall hopes to finish the Ryman League Division 1 South season strongly

Nicky Southall hopes Whitstable can
build on their good form and finish their stop-start campaign on a
high.
The Oystermen had high hopes going
into the Ryman League Division 1 South season but have spent just a
single week in the top-10 all campaign and been in the bottom four
since October.
However, after four points from two
home games, followed by Saturday’s 2-1 win at Walton & Hersham,
Town are only three points behind 15th-placed Herne Bay, with
Tuesday night’s postponed visit of Merstham a missed opportunity
for Southall (pictured).
He said: "I was frustrated the game
was off. We want to build some momentum and Merstham have not been
in the best of form.
"It’s important that we continue
getting ourselves up the table. If you can put some wins together,
then it claws you up there. Seven points from nine had done that
for us, it’s a start but hopefully we can continue that in the next
few games."
Southall added: "We’ve not set any
targets. We just want to win as many games as we can and finish the
season strongly."
The Oystermen hope that good
feeling will attract fans to games at The Belmont, starting with
the visit of Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday.
Southall said: "We are trying to
take the club forward but need to get the fans back. We need
solutions. We are coming up with ideas."

it 10 points from a possible 12 on Saturday? Have your say
