Faversham Town manager Ray Turner doesn't want plaudits for climbing to fourth, he wants to go higher

Faversham Town boss Ray Turner
doesn’t want plaudits for steering his side into the league’s top
four – he wants his close-knit squad to set their sights even
higher.
Town are a point behind third-placed
Leatherhead and three ahead of Crawley Down, who are one place
outside the play-offs having played a game more, and Turner
(pictured) said: "We have got to keep going.
"I don’t want a pat on the back just
because we’re in fourth, I want to look at third now and if we can
get there, then second. I want to get as high up that table as
possible.
"We have flown under the radar and
long may it continue. Our challenge now is to try and open up a gap
between us and sixth if we can."
Town made it two 1-0 wins in three
days on Tuesday night, following Saturday’s win at Three
Bridges with a triumph against Tooting.
The Lilywhites visit second-bottom
Walton Casuals on Saturday before a trip to Walton & Hersham on
Tuesday night.
The games are the first of eight
league games in February that will test Town’s small squad.
Turner added: "The togetherness has been unbelievable. They all
want to work hard for the team."

the summit? Have your say below.
