Former Formula 1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve to compete in FIA World Rallycross Championship round at Lydden
Former Formula 1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve will be the star attraction when Lydden Hill stages the second round of the new FIA World Rallycross Championship on May 24-25.
The 1997 world champion has signed up to drive for the Dumfries-based Alatec Racing in the championship and the 42-year-old Canadian seems certain to prove a big draw at Lydden over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
Circuit owner Pat Doran said: “We are honoured that Jacques Villeneuve will be among the competitors when we stage a round of this exciting new world championship.
“We want as many people as possible to share in what’s going to be an amazing, action-packed event and that’s why we have priced our tickets so competitively.
“That said, we do have limited capacity so we strongly advise those planning to come to Lydden to book early and take full advantage of the significant discounts we are offering in advance. We are expecting a complete sell-out.”
Tickets are now on sale and adult tickets are available from just £20 if bought in advance, with free admission offered to accompanied children aged 12 and under.
Upgrades are also available for grandstand seats, camping and VIP hospitality.Full details can be found on the circuit’s official website at www.lyddenhill.co.uk website or you can book tickets by ringing 0844 858 8518.
