Spitsbergen Hotel
With modern
comfort in historic surroundings Spitsbergen Hotel offers a unique
Svalbard experience. Situated on the "Hill" it has great views of
Longyearbyen, the Lars glacier and the Longyear glacier. The hotel
was constructed in 1947, but has been extensively refurbished over
the years both internally and externally. Winter closed until 1
February.
In the cosy lounge you can get freshly baked waffles every
afternoon. Sit in front of the fire with an arctic book from the
library and make the journey back to the time of Nansen and
Amundsen. You can also relax in the spa department which has a
sauna and massage chair.
The French inspired hotel kitchen will make your evening in the
Funktionærmessen Restaurant a culinary experience.
