Man's condition improving after attack outside Thomas Ingoldsby pub in Canterbury

A man is now in a stable condition after an attack outside
a Canterbury pub.
The 28-year-old was taken to a London hospital in a critical
condition after being assaulted early on Saturday.
The condition of the man, from Canterbury, is now said to be
improving.
Police were called to the scene, near the Thomas Ingoldsby
pub in Burgate, at about 12.10am.
The man was semi-conscious after receiving a blow to
the back of his head.
Witnesses described seeing two men leaving the scene and later a
22-year-old man and 23-year-old man, both from Canterbury, were
arrested. They have since been released on bail pending
investigations.
The man who was assaulted was taken to the QEQM Hospital, in
Margate, but transferred later to King's College Hospital.
Witnesses are asked to phone Kent Police on 101 and ask
for the Canterbury reactive team or give reference 24-19.
