Kent taken off flood alert

 

Kent's flood alerts have all been lifted - despite downpours earlier on today.

The Environment Agency's warnings were removed this afternoon on the Darent, Stour and Beult rivers.

The had earlier been in place on Sheppey, with the area around Scrapsgate Drain among the worst affected.

Around the Dartford area, the River Darent was earlier put on notice of possible flooding.

And the stretch from Westerham to Dartford, including Brasted, Sundridge, Chipstead, Dunton Green, Otford, Eynsford and South Darenth had been on alert until this afternoon.

Another flood alert - for the River Beult area - was also removed from the Environment Agency's website.
