Estate model added to new Octavia range
Just weeks after the brand-new Octavia hatchback was introduced
to the range, Czech brand Skoda has revealed details of the Estate
version.
An increase of 90mm in length, 45mm in width and a vast 110mm in
wheelbase over the previous generation model gives the Octavia
Estate a big boost in terms of cabin space; 610 litres of boot
space with the rear seats in place and 1,740 with the seats
folded.
Alongside clever storage ideas already found in the hatchback,
the Octavia Estate has a folding front passenger seat, a coat rack
and a remote folding function for the rear seats.
Identical from the front, the Octavia Estate has its own design
treatment at the rear but it is neatly integrated into the overall
shape to create a stylish load carrier.
It also shares the engine range with the hatchback model,
including the super-efficient GreenLine version which will deliver
a remarkable 83.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 89 g/km.
Revealed to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor
Show in March, the Octavia Estate will reach UK showrooms later in
the spring.
