Man accused of 1990s rapes appears in Kent court

A man accused of a series of sex attacks on elderly people
dating back to the early 1990s made a brief appearance at Maidstone
Crown Court today.
Delroy Grant, from Brockley, south east London , spoke only to
be identified on a TV link from London 's Belmarsh Prison.
The 52-year-old was arrested in November and he is accused of
five rapes, six indecent assaults and 11 burglaries between 1992
and 2009.
Grant was remanded in custody until April 30 when he will enter
pleas to the charges at Inner London Crown Court.
