A thug is being hunted by police after punching a man in
the face in an unprovoked attack, which shattered his cheek
bone.
Detectives say the attack happened near to the Casino Nightclub
in Blue Boar Lane, Rochester, in the early hours of Saturday, July
17.
It happened at a time when lots of people would have been in the
area and may have seen it happen.
A Gravesend man was trying to flag down a taxi when he was
approached by the thug who punched him in the face.
The injured man, 25, was taken to hospital and had suffered a
fractured cheekbone.
The assault happened at some point between 1am and 2am and the
man police would like to speak to about it, was wearing a beige or
peach coloured polo shirt.
He is also said to be of stocky build aged between 20 and
30.
DC Mark Silk said: "There were a lot of people out and about in
that area of Rochester between these times, so I believe that
someone must have seen the assault take place.
"I would like to hear from anyone who has information that may
help to identify the man responsible for this unprovoked
attack."
