Video: UFO above Ashford 'fired red laser beam'

Video: the 'UFO' seen flying over Ashford

A welder says he was stunned when he looked out of his window to see five UFOs fly past and shoot a red laser beam into the ground.

Mr Gisby, 50, of South Stour Avenue, Ashford, was watching television in his bedroom when he noticed the lights at 10.25pm on Saturday.

He said: “I was just lying in bed watching TV and all of a sudden I saw these lights out of the corner of my eye.

"I tried to unlock my phone to film them but the first two had gone too far away.

“I turned around and I saw the other three coming over. There was no noise at all. What do you think? Join the debate by adding your comments below

"They shot forward and caught up with the other two. They were just moving through the sky above the old Carfax waste paper factory site.

“Then this red beam came down. It happened right at the end when I was filming. I was quite stunned.”

He added: “People have said they could have been Chinese lanterns but they were moving too fast and I’ve never seen lanterns do anything like that.

“The only thing I could think of is that it might be proper UFOs. Years ago I was out with a girl and we saw traffic light things in the sky above Cudworth Road.”

The same set of hovering lights Mr Gisby saw on Saturday were filmed by someone in south Ashford floating upwards from Victoria Park over Ashford International train station.

The red beam is too crisp to go with the objects. They were just lanterns, nothing more nothing less. They were flying in "formation" because thats the way the wind was blowing. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the flashing was the fire inside flickering. We have them being let off all the time in the midlands

On Monday 19th July at approx 11.50pm myself my husband, my son and a friend were sitting in the garden in Shadoxhurst when we notice strange lights hovering in the sky towards Ashford. One red and one green. We thought they were from a plane however they were stationery. They then slowly moved towards the right, stopped hovered then slowly moved back towards the left. This repeated several times and lasted for approx ten minutes. all of a sudden the lights moved slowly towards the left then shot away at great speed out of view.
This strange event was witnessed by all four of us and unexplainable.

These are really astonishing! I have seen Ufo videos in the past but not this genuine looking!
I live in Walderslade and have seen one or two dodgy looking lights over the past couple of months but nothing like this.
There also has been an excessive amount of Helicopter activity in the area recently, it makes me wonder if those are someone linked with these sightings? Perhaps!

I saw these i was standing looking out of my loft window in osborne rd, i said at the time what is that? They traveled in a straight line i counted 2 groups of 5 there was no sound at all really strange they came over the station and out towards the coast they stunned me because they vanished one by one my logic at the time was they were a lot higher than i thought and went into cloud they had flashing beacons underneath which made me think aircraft.

I saw something similar on Sat flying over M2 near Rochester although it was only one red light an also sounded like a helicopter but different, enough to make me get up and look out of the window i watched it fly towards canterbury and then turn around and fly back towards Rochester at some speed which makes me wonder if what i saw was a helicopter after reading this article

There have been various sightings in Maidstone of Red/Orange lights in groups of 5 amd 6. These were not lanterns as there were moving too quick and in formation.
