Mobile police station set up in Swanley following fatal A20 crash
Comments |
Kent Police have set up a mobile
police station in Swanley to encourage witnesses of a fatal road
crash on the A20 to come forward.
Detectives are visiting the St Mary's estate, where they hope
local people will provide more information about the incident
in which Michael Baker died.
The 47-year-old, from Littlehampton, West Sussex, was travelling
in a recovery truck, when it collided with a lorry at around
11am last Saturday (July 24).
Police are investigating reports that children were seen
throwing stones at traffic shortly before the crash.
The lorry was on the side of the road after its driver saw
something hit the windscreen of his vehicle and pulled over.
Four people aged between 10 and 15-years-old
have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. They have all
been released on bail while inquiries continue.
