Man dies with severe burns after incident in Snodland

A man has died after being severely burned in a fire in Snodland.

Firefighters and police were called to a fire in some trees and undergrowth near Coombe Close, Snodland, at about 3.10am on Tuesday, March 16.

A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious burns to his legs and back. He died of his injuries later that day.

The man has not been named by police, but a spokesman said his next of kin had been informed.

The area was cordoned off earlier this week as police carried out forensic tests. The incident is being investigated, and anyone with information should call police on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
