Car crashes into fence in Chatham

Police accident stock

A car crashed into a fence after a head-on collision last night.

Fire and police crews were called to the crash in Maidstone Road, Chatham, at 9:30pm.

The smash involved a Suzuki 4x4 and an Alfa Romeo car.

The 4x4 hit a fence in front of a house and knocked out several wooden panels.

The people in both vehicles were treated at the scene by ambulance staff and did not need to go to hospital.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The 4x4 could have ended up in the house if it had been going faster."

Nice to see that that Fireman Sam's now a crash investigator!
If the 4 x 4 had been going slower, where would it have ended up? In the flower bed? Ornamental fish pond? The mind boggles....
