This CCTV footage was released after the cat-swinging

A young man will appear in court accused of swinging a cat by its tail.

Riain Richards, from Ramsgate, is said to have caused unneccessary suffering to the animal.

The 20-year-old is due before Canterbury magistrates on Tuesday, February 28.

The incident was recorded on CCTV outside the Camden Arms pub in Ramsgrate on October 29 last year.

The terrified cat, called Mowgli, ran away and was not injured.
