A former RAF sergeant has been jailed
for eight months... wearing a blonde wig and calling himself Foxy
Roxy.
Transsexual Martin Shaxted, 60,
appeared in the dock at Canterbury Crown Court and admitted keeping
a brothel.
Police officers raided his home in
Godwin Road, Cliftonville, in December 2010 and discovered he was
offering kinky sex services with a 15-year-old boy.
Oliver Saxby, prosecuting, said it was
accepted Shaxted thought the youngster was 19 years old.
Judge Adele Williams rejected a call
to suspend the sentence because "of the kind of experiences he
could expect in prison".
Mr Saxby had told how Shaxted had
advertised his services - calling himself Roxy Jayne and Foxy Roxy
- on the internet.
And the Crown Prosecution Service said
it was concerned the advert could still be accessed.
But Judge Williams said she had no
powers to order the Internet Service Provider to ban the
advert.
Shaxted had advertised his
transvestite services as: "Very convincing hot sexy pre-op TS Girl,
ready and waiting for you now."
The ex-RAF man - who served in the
armed forces for 23 years - also offered "a 2 girl service".
The court heard the boy confessed that
he had told Shaxted he was 19.
He later
admitted taking part in smoking cannabis and taking "legal highs
and poppers" and for four months engaging in sex with men aged
between 50 to 60, including one man who was tied to a bed with a
rope and humiliated.
Police who raided the home discovered
child abuse pictures on Shaxted's computer. They also took away
calling cards, whips and a variety of "sex toys".
One calling card described themselves
as "The Scrumptious Girls" and had an image of Shaxted and the
teenager together lying on a bed.
Shaxted admitted meeting the youngster
in a gay bar in Margate and denied encouraging him to take part in
the sex services.
Mr Saxby said the teenager
"couldn't remember" how many people had bought his services - at
between £50 to £70 a time.
Shaxted admitted charges of keeping a
brothel and three charges of making and showing 32 indecent
images.
Diaries revealed his services had
netted him annual totals of £5620 (2008), £5180 (2009) and £5955
(2010).
John O'Higgins, defending, said: "He
became associated with a person who masqueraded as a much older
person. He took up escort work five years ago. But he did not
entice this young man into providing the services.
"He is not in the best of health and
is now a recluse and is very embarrassed."
Judge Williams jailed him for eight
months after telling him: "The mischief here is this that even
though you believed him to be 19, he was in fact 15 at the
time.
"You are 60 years old. You allowed a
very young man to be providing these services. But I accept you did
not exploit him"
He was also ordered to sign the Sex
Offenders' register.
