Hunt continues for woman's knife attacker

Detectives are continuing to hunt a young woman's knife attacker as she recovers in hospital.

The 20-year-old victim was airlifted to hospital after a fight with another woman in Broadstairs on Thursday.

Kent Police said the woman knew her attacker, but no one has been arrested.

Police were called at about 12.50pm after reports two women were arguing in Granville Road.

The victim was flown to a London hospital in a critical condition.

Her condition has since improved and she is now said to be in a serious but stable condition.

A knife was later recovered from the scene.

DI Nick Greenan said: "This was an isolated incident and the victim and offender were known to each other. No-one else was injured during the altercation.

"We are actively seeking the suspect and would like to remind people that anyone found to be assisting an offender or perverting the course of justice also faces arrest."

Granville Road, Granville Avenue and adjacent alleyways were closed while the incident was investigated.

Police are urging witnesses to phone 101 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 quoting reference number KP-20120119-0627.

I don't think it matters if DNA is on the knife, reading between the lines the police know the identity of the person they are looking for it is only a matter time before the catch them.
