Elderly man dies two months after crash that killed wife on A28 at Godmersham

Police accidentThe elderly husband of a woman killed in a multi-vehicle crash in September has also died.

The man, in his 80s, was driving a silver Suzuki Wagon car when it was involved in a collision on the A28 at Godmersham, near Ashford.

It had crashed with a yellow Renault recovery lorry and a white Ford Transit van at about 3.35pm on Saturday, September 22.

The woman passenger, also in her 80s, died at Ashford's William Harvey Hospital that evening.

Now her husband also died in hospital on Sunday.

Kent Police officers are re-appealing for witnesses who saw the crash or who remember seeing any of the three vehicles involved.

Witnesses are urged to phone the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit appeal line on 01622 798538.
