Friends pay tribute to Amie Lanni after she was found dead at Dover home
Friends of a teenage girl found dead at her home in Dover have
been paying tribute to her.
They set up a Facebook page in memory of 18-year-old Amie Lanni
and they gathered yesterday on the beach at Dover to set off
lanterns and to light candles.
Amie was found dead on Sunday at a flat in Folkestone Road.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene at 10.50am
after the discovery of her body, but were unable to revive her.
A post mortem examination is being carried out this week to
establish the cause of death.
Flowers and messages were also left outside her home.
Amie, who had attended Castle Community College in Deal and then
the Brook Education Centre in Folkestone, had a sister Ashleigh who
lives in Deal.
A police spokesman said the death was not being treated as
suspicious and the coroner had been informed.
Tributes on the Facebook page included one from Jules Ogier who
described Amie as “the most amazing girl with the biggest smile I
have ever met”.
“We all have our own memories of you which will never fade. You
will go on in our hearts and minds you will never be
forgotten.”
On her own Facebook page Amie had previously written: “Remember
to forgive but never forget.”
