Jobs saved after management buyout at Viasys

Fourteen jobs have been saved after the management buy-out of a
Kent software company.
Industry supply chain sofware provider Viasys, based at Kings
Hill, West Malling, has been acquired by Korecentric. The take-over
involved former Viasys management and external investors.
The company would otherwise have been sold, putting the
workforce of 14 at risk.
Korecentric, which is a member of oil, gas, nuclear and offshore
wind sector business development organisation, NOF Energy, has
retained key development, sales and support staff who, it says,
bring vast experience of project-based procurement and contract
management software to the company.
A statement from Korecentric said the company would be launching
a range of new software products.
Zack Hodge, Korecentric managing director, said: "The
acquisition gives us the opportunity and flexibility to explore new
ways to service existing and future clients in this niche
sector.
"We will continue to support the existing client base and look
to bring exciting new software products to market, using the latest
development technologies to provide the future proofing our
customers demand."
