Caan - why we need to help others
Comments |

Dragons' Den expert James Caan urged firms to help others as
part of their daily business.
Speaking at the Kent 2020 event, the TV entrepreneur said he was
very keen to see business people doing good for others.
Caan, the founder and CEO of Hamilton Bradshw, a private equity
firm, said he had been born in Pakistan.
He returned there recently and helped build a school in a small
village.
The multi-millionaire, said to be worth around £70 million, is
also chairman of The Big Issue, and praised the sellers for
becoming 'social entrepreneurs' rather than scrounging.
He said the Big Issue gave the homeless their dignity back.
Speaking of his Dragons' Den experience, he said he took a while
to make his first investment, as he was wary of investing in
someone he'd only met briefly - and often with people with no
business plan!
The event has so far had a huge audience of business people,
with around 350 exhibitors.
