Set amongst the world's largest collection of Victorian Oast houses, this once working Hop Farm is now one of the South East's most popular family attractions. There is definitely something for all the family.

Take a trip down memory lane in one of our two award winning interactive museums before visiting our Shire Horses and the animal farm. Indoor and outdoor children's play areas, craft centre, crazy golf, paddling pool and bouncy castle are guaranteed to keep the children amused whatever the weather.

On site catering facilities offer a selection of refreshments, snacks and meals and picnic facilities are available to make the most of the weather.

Open all year round with over 30 special events including motor events, food and drink festivals, music events and themed entertainment over the school holidays, there is always a great excuse to come back time after time!

2008 will see some major new developments at the Hop Farm which will include Sympathetic upgrades to the magnificent Oast houses, whilst retaining all of their original features, will provide a brand new restaurant, family bar and bistro with an adult free area for kids! Sixty-four holiday homes will be built, with frames constructed from Kent oak fabricated in Ashford.

Costumed Guides bring this spectacular maritime heritage site alive!

The Historic Dockyard is a great place to visit with friends and family. Discover over 400 years of maritime history as you explore the most complete dockyard of Age of Sail and ‘meet’ characters from the past. Set in a stunning 80 acre estate, all our maritime galleries and attractions will excite and entertain you – whatever your age!

Be amazed by the working Ropery and make your own piece of rope. Experience what life was like aboard two of our Historic Warships with self-guided audio tours – HMS Gannet (1878) the last remaining sloop of Queen Victoria’s navy and HMS Cavalier (1944) the Second World War destroyer - and enjoy a guided tour of HM Submarine Ocelot which once prowled the depths of the ocean.

Be absorbed by the sights, sounds and smells of the dockyard of 1758 in Wooden Walls. Journey through 400 years of maritime history in the Museum of the Royal Dockyard and relive heroic rescue’s of RNLI crews in the Lifeboat! gallery.

Visit the tranquil Commissioner’s Garden and allow the children to let off steam in the indoor or outdoor play areas.
