Sam Northeast to replace Joe Denly in Kent side against Gloucestershire

Kent will be without opener Joe Denly for the LV County Championship game against leaders Gloucestershire at Beckenham on Tuesday.

Denly is with the England Lions, who play Australia at Worcester on Wednesday, so Sam Northeast (pictured) comes into the side.

All-rounder Azhar Mahmood is drafted in to replace the injured Robbie Joseph.

Academy wicketkeeper Sam Billings, who plays for Hartley, is also in the 12-man squad.

The game marks the first Championship match staged at Beckenham since 2004.

Kent: Key, Northeast, Jones, van Jaarsveld, Stevens, Kemp, McLaren, Mahmood, Tredwell, Cook, Khan, Billings.
