Gillingham manager Mark Stimson is expecting
his players to rise to the occasion when they step out at Wembley
on Saturday.
Stimson has already seen his team perform on
big occasions this season after matching Aston Villa in the FA Cup,
enjoying success against the top League 2 sides recently and
winning the semi-final play-off tie against Rochdale.
The Gills boss is now hoping they can emulate
that on the biggest stage of all.
Stimson said: “We’ve had the Aston Villa game
and then the play-offs and the players have risen to the occasion
and done well and now it’s the final one.

“It’s no different, it’s just the venue that's a lot bigger, and
I’m sure with the noise that’s going to be made it's going to be a
feeling they won’t ever forget.
“They need to just go and enjoy it and to try
and get nominated for man of the match because that’s their
target.”
