Unused substitute Adam Miller was the
last player off the Wembley pitch on Saturday as he put personal
feelings aside to celebrate a promotion-winning season.
Miller saluted the rest of the team
for their efforts and looked ahead to some big games next term.
He said: "I was devastated for myself
that I didn’t get on but for the boys, the team, the gaffer and the
club, we deserve to be in the league we are in now.
"I was so excited, I just didn’t want
to get off the pitch at the end, and it was just an amazing
feeling.
"I’m absolutely ecstatic and we’re
playing sides like Leeds United and not Accrington Stanley, without
any disrespect to them.
"I was here last year when we got
relegated and we got a lot of criticism, especially some of the
non-league boys, and I think we all stuck together, the gaffer
brought a few more faces in and I like to think we’ve proved a few
people wrong.
"Hopefully now we can get the respect
we deserve."
Miller has recently returned from
injury and has played 34 games this season.
"I feel I have played my part, and I’m
more than pleased with what I’ve done," he added. "I can’t wait for
next season."
