Gillingham boss Mark Stimson agrees to transfer list keeper Alan Julian

Gillingham keeper Alan Julian has been
transfer listed at his own request.
Julian started the season as first choice
keeper but was soon replaced by Simon Royce.
The 26-year-old was hoping to have emerged
from the shadows of Royce this season, having spent the whole of
the previous campaign as second choice keeper.
He started the first four League 1 games this
season, after winning a close battle with Royce in pre-season, but
was
subbed at half-time in the home defeat to Hartlepool after boss
Mark Stimson felt he was looking “edgy”.
Since then Julian has made just two
appearances, both in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
Julian joined from Stevenage, where under
Stimson he had been first choice keeper, but since the start of
last season he’s been restricted to just 12 appearances.
Stimson has agreed to his transfer request and
his name will be circulated to all football league clubs.
