Bromley suffered a resounding defeat at home to Colchester in the FA Cup first round on Saturday.

The home side fell behind when John White crossed the ball and Simon Hackney fired it into the net on the half-volley after 32 minutes.

Bromley fell further behind three minutes later when Kayode Odejayi went on a run that took him past two defenders and culminated in him slotting the ball home.

Gareth A Williams had a chance to reduce the deficit, before David Fox’s corner was nodded in by Clive Platt after 71 minutes.

Fox was again the provider for the fourth goal when he crossed for substitute Steven Gillespie to head the ball home with a minute left.

Cray Wanderers were soundly beaten 4-0 at Horsham in the Ryman League Premier Division.
