Kent School Games looking for volunteers

Volunteers are wanted to help ensure
the smooth running of the Kent School Games – the largest
multi-sport youth event in Europe.
More than 35 sporting activities will
take place during the second annual competition, with final events
starting on Monday, June 7, and taking place until Sunday, July
4.
Around 6,000 competitors will take
part in the 10 finals days at 13 venues across the county.
Event managers are wanted to help
deliver successful finals for the Primary School Games, Secondary
School Games and Disability Games.
Volunteers need to be available from
8.30am to 5pm and need to be hard-working, able to work under
pressure and as part of a team and also be good communicators.
Opportunities are available at
Sevenoaks School and at the University of Kent, Kingsmead Leisure
Centre, Canterbury Christ Church University Sports Centre,
Canterbury High, Polo Farm, Broome Park Golf Club and Simon Langton
Boys’ School in Canterbury.
A volunteer briefing will take place
at the University of Kent, Canterbury, on Wednesday, June 16, at
6.30pm.
