Kent spinner James Tredwell is hoping to make his England debut
on Friday in the first Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong.
Tredwell (pictured) took eight wickets in the recent draw
against Bangladesh A, including 6-95 in the first innings.
The 28-year-old from Folkestone said: "I will be immensely proud
and honoured to wear the three lions of England, not only for
myself but for my family who have helped me along the way.
"I also have to thank Rob Key as well, somebody I have the
utmost respect for. He has helped me out as captain and is very
open to my way of thinking about field settings.
"He sets fields he wouldn’t like to face as a batsman which are
very innovative, and that helped me get my wickets."
