Kent are positive ahead of season run-in, says team director Paul Farbrace

Paul Farbrace says the Kent camp are staying positive with
the emphasis on finishing as high in the LV= County Championship as
possible rather than just surviving in Division 1.
The outcome of this week’s relegation clash against Warwickshire
is crucial to their cause, ahead of the final two games against
Hampshire next week and title chasers Yorkshire.
Farbrace (pictured) admits although the Spitfires’ hopes of
qualifying for the Clydesdale Bank 40 semi-finals are all but over,
they will still head for Durham on Saturday looking to continue
their good form in the competition.
Farbrace, speaking before Wednesday's dismal batting
collapse against Warwickshire, said: "The mood in the camp is good,
although there is a certain anxiousness around about the fact that
Amjad Khan is leaving, players are moving on and not much talk
about any coming in.
"We are able to keep focused on playing good cricket and winning
games and it’s much easier when you are doing that rather than
losing, when other things tend to creep in."
Khan was left out of the two one day games at the weekend and
the four-day game at Edgbaston this week after the county announced
he was leaving.
Farbrace added: "He wanted to stay and we wanted him to as well
and the fact he is leaving is a difficult thing to get your head
round at the moment."
