Exeter City 1 Charlton Athletic 0

Charlton badge

An injury-time penalty condemned Charlton to a 1-0 defeat at previously-winless Exeter at St James' Park on Saturday.

Phil Parkinson's side looked set for a point until Miguel Angel Llera felled Jamie Cureton in the box and Ryan Harley stepped up to tuck the penalty away past Rob Elliot in the third of seven minutes of stoppage time.

The hosts had the better of the chances and bossed possession and despite the introduction of Scott Wagstaff, Johnny Jackson and Akpo Sodje from the bench, the Addicks could not find a breakthrough and slip to 11th in League 1.

What is your reaction to the Addicks defeat? Have your say below.
